AUSTIN, TX- I’ve long been an advocate for Estereomance, a band whose music— a captivating mix of pop, soul, and electronic influences—has an undeniable resonance. Their compositions unfold in lush, rich, and textured soundscapes that consistently strike a chord, satisfying my sonic cravings each time they play. Adding to this the genuine affability of band members Adria Del Valle, Paulina Reza, and Manu Beker, it’s a package that’s tough to top.
I won’t lie… , the choice to have them perform at Hotel Vegas took me by surprise. Historically, the venue has primarily hosted punk, garage, and grunge rock bands whenever I’ve attended show there. However, as Estereomance began to play, the ambiance of the venue ceased to matter. Their performance transcended the usual boundaries, proving music knows no confines.
It’s possible Hotel Vegas recognized the similarities in the band’s eclectic style to the likes of Tame Impala, another act known for deftly fusing genres to create a distinct sound. Yet, it’s Estereomance’s soulful underpinnings and robust vocals—reminiscent of artists like Solange and the emotional depth of Lana Del Rey—that keep me enthralled.
Come September 22, 2023, Estereomance is embarking on a midwest tour. If your city happens to fall within their journey, I can’t recommend enough that you seize the opportunity. There’s a good chance you’ll appreciate their sound as much as I do.
