Breanna Yde Seems Poised To Embark On New Musical Journey After “School Of Rock” The Young Girl's Charisma And Talent Will Suit Her Well In The Next Chapter Of Her Life
LOS ANGELES, CA- It was a while ago, but opening for the teenage heart throb Ruel at The Roxy back in September was the young singer Breanna Yde. I’d like to think that I’m pretty in the know when it comes to new recording artists, but it took me a while to try learn more about this young girl.
As it turns out, Breanna is a prolific child actress (born June 11, 2003) who is originally from Sydney, New South Wales. Now living in Los Angeles, she has scored roles on television series like The Haunted Hathaways and the television film Santa Hunters. But she’s probably best known for her role of Tomika in the Nickelodeon televisions series School of Rock.
After running for 3 season, School of Rock aired its finale on April 8, 2018, but Breanna is still keeping busy with her acting as she is scheduled to co-star in the upcoming Mariah Carey- inspired animated Christmas movie, All I want For Christmas Is You, which was, last I read, schedule for release this month.
Breanna’s performance at The Roxy was a relatively short one, which consisted of both a handful of original songs and contemporary covers, but it was her personality- and voice- that really shined on stage. Armed with just an acoustic guitar, the performance was a confident one, light and carefree, and had me asking people around me who she was and where I could find out more about her.
Even at a young age, I can tell that she’s meant to be up in the lights. While I haven’t watched any of the television/film projects that she has acted in, I’m pretty sure I saw what each of the casting director’s saw in her when they hired her for her various roles.
Whether she’ll be able to balance her acting and singing careers effectively is a bridge that she’ll no doubt have to navigate, but I think it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on this talented, and charismatic, young singer to see which direction her recording career goes from here.
