SAN DIEGO, CA- From the gritty streets of Baltimore to the sun-soaked boulevards of LA, Baird’s meteoric rise took center stage at the iconic Bleached Fest in San Diego. His entrance, marked by mysteriously donned masks, was perhaps an esoteric nod to his core followers. Those less acquainted with his artistic idiosyncrasies… like me… were left intrigued, but that very mystique only heightened the evening’s allure.
For a virgin ear to Baird’s eclectic sound, the experience was an auditory rollercoaster. Pockets of his set resonated with the spontaneous verve akin to jam legends like Phish. But Baird’s musical narrative was not confined to catchy riffs. With dexterity, he meshed diverse genres, each track a resonant statement in its own right. And as the beachside sun blazed on the crowd, the fervor he and his ensemble unleashed was nothing short of electrifying.
