Vigil Of War Are Set To Take The Fight Across The Pond Check out Photos of Vigil Of War At The Whisky A Go-Go 12/21/18
LOS ANGELES, CA- On February 1st, the Los Angeles based hard rock band Vigil War will play their first show overseas in Blackpool, England with Voodoo Blood and Run Into The Night. 2019 looks like it will be a big year for this young, upstart band, getting their music into the ears of people around the world. At the end of last year, I was able to catch them for a second time at The Whisky A Go-Go, and like the first time, they rocked it and rocked it hard.
Vigil of War had been honing their performance chops at The Whisky all throughout 2018, and I could see and hear how well their live performance had matured. Their use of the space on stage was particularly noticeable to me.
Not only was this performance a culmination of the experience they gained throughout the year, but it was also a celebration for “Suga” Shane Taylor’s 26th birthday (it would be London Stancy’s birthday a week later). With his mom joining him on stage, he blew out the candle on his birthday cake.
It was a youthful moment, but this is a youthful band. A youthful band with a lot of potential. And as long as they’ve got the support of family and friends, I think that their future is bright. Hopefully, they’ll be able to convert some new fans in the UK.
