AUSTIN, TX- For most of our SXSW artist coverage, we’ll keep it relatively short and sweet. We have over 80 artists to cover, so cut us some slack! 😉 We’ll basically be formatting each post into two parts: (1) Why our contributor wanted to see this act and (2) what our contributor thought of the performance”. Easy peasy. If you want to learn more about the act, make sure you click through to their social media links to get in the know. You won’t be disappointed!

Why I Wanted To See Spare Parts For Broken Hearts: Like Ramonda Hammer, Spare Parts For Broken Hearts was another one of my L.A. favorites that I couldn’t help but catch in Austin while I was at SXSW. Their performance was right across the street from a showcase I was obligated cover, so yay for me.
Spare Parts For Broken Hearts is fronted by Sarah Green, and this would be my first time seeing the band live since Sarah switched up her drummer (Jessica Lankford) and bassist (Jonny Cifuentes).
What I Thought Of Spare Parts For Broken Hearts’ Performance: There isn’t too much I can say about Spare Parts for Broken Hearts (“SPBH”) that I haven’t already said here and here and here. Even with a new line-up, SP4BH still rocked as hard and as good as I like it.
They are planning a mini west-coast tour with Ramonda Hammer and will be hitting up LA, Portland, Berkeley and San Diego starting May 27th.
Follow Spare Parts For Broken Hearts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
