The second opening act for Diet Cig was the pop punkstress solo act from Seattle, Lisa Prank.
While she may only have one album under her belt, she has been involved with other musical projects since 2008. Her debut album, Adult Teen, was released in 2016 and the name definitely lives up to not only her sound but also her stage presence.
Something to know about Lisa Prank is that she likes to wear this sort of crown on her head that has “PRANK” written on the front of it. It wasn’t until I was shooting her set that I noticed a Lisa Simpson tattoo on her left ankle. Perhaps they aren’t related since her name is an obvious pun to Lisa Frank but maybe they are since the hat somewhat resembles the hair of that famous cartoon character.
Lisa has said in the past that a lot of her philosophy in what she does is greatly fueled by love, acceptance and overall happiness and that became most evident when she invited a handful of members of the audience to join her on stage to do the Macarena during her set. Although she is only one person she manages to bring the energy and vibe that full pop punk bands can bring.
