LOS ANGELES, CA- The first act I took in at June Gloom was Guyville. Full disclosure, I’d like to consider Kat and Emily my friends, and I’m always down to support friends especially when they play damn good music.
Their set happened to be timed perfectly with the sun its hardest on the pavement upon which the outdoor stage had been set up. Kat and Emily, with their perpetual cheerfulness, joked about the heat and the non-stop sweating. Their set was a good as they consistently are. Their harmonies sounded a pristine as ever and even with the sweat leaking from my body, I could help be soak it all in with a satisfied smile.
