Foo Fighters surprised fans during their Firenze Rocks Festival set in Florence, Italy on Thursday when they invited members of Guns N’ Roses onstage to perform the latter’s Appetite for Destruction classic, “It’s So Easy.”
Footage of the performance shows Axl Rose and Dave Grohl sharing vocal duties, while Slash and Duff McKagan are seen jamming with the rest of the Foos in the background.
The performance comes ahead of Guns N’ Roses’ headline slot at the same festival tonight.
Despite previous bad blood between Axl Rose and Dave Grohl, the pair have enjoyed a close friendship in recent years.
In 2016, Grohl lent Rose his custom-built throne so that he could perform the first date of the ‘Not In This Lifetime’ tour with a broken leg. The throne was first used by Grohl after he broke his leg during a show in Sweden, forcing the band to cancel their Glastonbury headline set.
Rose reportedly said during the show: “I wanna thank Dave Grohl for this; it was very nice of him. I’ve got nothing to do with this.”
Meanwhile, the Foos will return to the UK next week for a huge stadium tour that sees them taking in shows at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and the London Stadium.
