LOS ANGELES, CA- Diplo is a music making machine.

Hot off the release of his latest EPs Europa (which features collaborations with Europe’s finest rising stars like Octavian on “New Shapes,” Niska on “Boom Bye Bye” and IAMDDB on “Mira Mira) and No New Friends (which is a collaborative effort with between Diplo, Labrinth and Sia), Diplo has released to two mostly instrumental house tracks, teasing on youtube (in the comments) that a “house ep coming soon” [stet].

While Diplo and his EDM group Major Lazer have always dabbled in electro house beats in the past, “Bubble Up” and “Hold You Tight” seem to indicate that Diplo is taking a deep dive into the genre. Based on the two preview tracks, I get the feeling that Diplo’s new house EP will straddle the deep and progressive genres, with BPM’s running up and down the ladder.

I wonder if this will be more of an instrumental venture, or if there will be a few featured vocalists on some tracks. There are clearly some vocals on “Hold You Tight”, but they aren’t credited so one can only fathom guess if there’ll be any featured collabs.
