Long Beach, CA- Diane Coffee is Shaun Fleming, and he put on one hell of a show at Music Tastes Good. Taking the stage in a form fitting gold suit sans shirt draped in an equally gold cape, his entrance was grand and his music was grander. His catchy melodies saturated with big sounds drawing from a range of genres was like a sugary sweet midday treat for the masses.
Leading up to the festival, Diane Coffee released a new single, “Poor Man Dan”, which is now available to purchase on his new 7′ titled “Peel” that has another new track, “Get By”, on the B-side. He entertained the crowd with performances of these new cuts as well as selections from his critically acclaimed album “Everybody’s Good Dog”, utilizing every inch of the stage in grand fashion to espouse the emotions of his compositions. But the theatrics and entertaining the crowd comes easy to Shaun. Using what he learned as a child actor, he clearly knows how to command the stage and gain an audiences attention.
Diane Coffee pulled double duty at Music Tastes Good, performing a short set for Jam In The Van. The video taken from that performance (which includes performances of “All The Young Girls”, “Poor Man Dan” and “Get By” are embedded below.
