The band following Beach Weather was CRUISR, an indie pop/rock band based out of Philadelphia, though if you weren’t familiar with them you would have probably guessed that they were L.A. because their music has a laid-back vibrancy that feels So-Cal more than Philly.

There’s a lot of potential with this band. With only a handful of releases under their belt, they made the most of their set by playing catchy melody after catchy melody. Their front man’s excitement, Andy State, was infectious. Though he spent most of his time behind the mic, he constantly engaged the audience with his stage movement and eye contact.

It wasn’t surprising that a majority of those in the audience who were singing along and getting down to their grooves were young women/girls. This band of young men, and their anthemic indie-pop/rock, fit that demographic. Not only that, but they the look the part, like a group of young and reckless college boys looking, singing and CRUISing for a good time.
