It has been revealed that J. Cole will be dropping a new album next week (December 9). J has now shared a 40-minute documentary that opens the door to his studio and gets us up to speed on what he’s been up to since the release of 2014’s Forest Hills Drive.
“You get to this level of [your] career in terms of platform… Who’s to say the next one—the next one might go down. Or it could go up,” he says at one point, commenting on his current situation of attempting to follow his most successful album to date. “You’re never guaranteed to be this high again. So while I’m here, let me use this opportunity to say the realest shit I’ve ever said.”
