Vince Staples. The best thing to come out of the LBC in … well … forever. With the very hyped release of his newest EP, “Prima Donna”, fans came out en masse to watch Vince rock the stage and to hopefully catch some new music. They were not disappointed.
From “Prima Donna”, Vince played two new cuts titled “War Ready” and the title track. Vince asked the audience bear with him before he performed the new songs, but no apologies were needed as everyone was fully engaged with his music. Watching a sea of hands waving and clapping in the air to his lyrical flow was hypnotic.
In particularly, politically charged moment of Vince’s set, the rapper made a dedication to the men and women of police departments around the world evening proclaiming that, “[they] do a great job” before viciously jumping into “Hands Up”.
