LOS ANGELES, CA- Another band we were able to catch at the Whisky A Go-Go on December 21, 2018 was The Lipstix.

Fronted by Auggie Del Rey, The Liptix brought a real sense of that classic Sunset Strip rock and roll attitude to the stage. I was primarily focused on taking photos during the performance because Auggie exudes a really photogenic confidence (hopefully, my pictures show that), but from what I can recall, the band’s music reminded me a bit of Lenny Kravitz circa “Let Love Rule” with a hint of classic rock sprinkled on top.

There isn’t much online about the band or their music, but from what I can glean they had their first live performance as a band in November, so this must have been their third or fourth performance ever, but I have a feeling that we’ll be hearing more about them in 2019.
