The Other Festival was held in New York City at the beautiful Spring Studios. It brought with it an impressive array of artisans, artists and entrepreneurs.
During the day powerful women gave panels on being women in a patriarchal society and the keys to success in navigating it. From Cynthia Rowley to Rosario Dawson, topics of social responsibility, working together and ushering in the time of the matriarchs were discussed as moderators helped navigate the topics seamlessly.
After the panels the after party was held at Haus Nightclub where Grace Weber and Sophie Beem shined equally with their intimate performances. With Grace keeping it low key and Sophie’s high energy dance moves, their music shined. DJ Kitty Cash kept the dance floor hot and pumping with her set and Brooke Candy was awesome and intense, flanked by contortionist dancers. Brooke’s flare for drama was a knock out and as she left the stage simply and sweetly said, “I’m sorry if I scared you.” We wanted to be scared Brooke, please don’t stop!
