LOS ANGELES, CA- The Aquadolls released their latest album, “The Dream And The Deception” last month. It’s a solid 18 song collection of the lo-fi goodness that we’ve come to love about the band (“I’m A Star”, “Cigboi”, “The Mess”), but it’s an album that also showcases Melissa Brooks’ evolution as a songwriter as her hooks and melodies are even more catchier than before (“Do My Own Thing,” “Bleach”, “Toy”).
But this post isn’t about “The Dream and The Deception”. It’s about their latest track for the holiday season: “Mrs. Clause”. Filled with all of the humor and personality that I’ve come to expect from the vivacious Ms. Brooks, “Mrs. Clause” is a song that hints at the lesbian longing for the other Clause. I couldn’t help but laugh when I heard the lyrics, “Mrs. Clause … meet me under the mistletoe. Mrs. Clause … let me be your Ho, Ho, Ho”. F*ing hilarious.
It certainly makes getting on the naughty list seem not so bad. Lol.
Oh … btw, here are some photos we took of the girls back in October. Click play and peruse the pics. Happy holidays. Ho Ho Ho.
