LOS ANGELES, CA- We’re all looking forward to the day when life gets back to normal. As the world holds its collective breath for a COVID 19 cure, we’re all quarantined with our thoughts, trying to look on the bright side of things.

Billie Eilish is doing the same, and she’s looking inwards to discover that the future lies within herself.  “my future” is an empowering song that emphasizes the notion that there is an inherent strength in oneself. As she sings, “Know I’m supposed to be unhappy without someone, but aren’t I someone”, we hear the conviction of her self reliance, even through her now ubiquitous, sweet, dulcet tones.

Billie emailed her fans with this message about the new song.

“we wrote this at the very beginning of quarantine. it’s a song that’s really really personal and special to me. when we wrote this song, it was exactly where my head was at – hopeful, excited and a craaaazy amount of self reflection and self growth. but recently it has also taken on a lot of new meaning in the context of what’s happening in the world now. i hope you can all find meaning in it for yourselves.” .

The song was producer by her brother, FINNEAS, and the animated music video  was created by Australian artist Andrew Onorato.
