Dana Point, CA- If Eddie Vedder was the busiest man at the festival, then Timmy was the second busiest man, being the only other artist to play on a stage on all three days. He performed on the smaller “Tiki Stage” on Friday and Saturday, but graced the Main Stage on the final day. When he took the massive stage, he took it solo, armed with only his acoustic guitar. Probably better known for his day job as professional surfer, Timmy most likely surprised many attendees with his soothing acoustic melodies and endeared them with his genuinely humble demeanor.

The word “Ohana” means family, and Timmy Curran made his day 3 performance a family affair. Midway during his performance, he started calling up friends and family on stage to share his spotlight. His cousin Victoria Evigan (her first performance on a “big” stage) and her husband sang a song as Timmy sat behind them to enjoy their harmonies. Hey then had friend, and fellow surfer, Conner Coffin along with Lee Koch, Spencer Regan and his daughter join him on stage for an upbeat closing number.

If there was a performance from the Ohana Fest weekend that embodied the essence of the meaning of the word, it was this one, and it was a pleasure to watch as it unfolded on stage.
