Long Beach, CA- Joining Nina Diaz on tour is the twenty year old singer/songwriter from Long Island, NY, SEE. Her debut EP, produced by Brad Wood (Smashing Pumkins, Liz Phair) and Walter Dicristina, was released in 2016 and is a pretty seamless mix of pop and alternative rock.
Her current tour with Nina has her performing her music as a solo, acoustic set. Stripped down, without any backing instruments or drum tracks, this performance was an opportunity to see an aspiring artist in her rawest state, and what it revealed for me was that this young lady has a knack for writing some catchy melodies. Her soprano voice cuts like a knife when she emotionally wails about heart break and lost lovers.
Catching her perform her music stripped down like this was quite enjoyable. I would recommend going to “see” her perform her music with this acoustic setting.
