On the eve of her birthday, Tove Lo celebrated in grand style with the premiere of her short film, “Fairy Dust”, which is a companion piece to her album “Lady Wood” which was released on the same day. Held at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, the event drew a bevy of talent to join in the festivities. Walking the red carpet was Olympic gold medalist Chris Mears, Tokio Hotel, Bridgit Mendler, Say Lou Lou, Bonnie McKee and Icona Pop. Also spotted enjoying the festivities were Broods, Sylvan Esso, Phoebe Ryan and (I think) actor Josh Hutcherson.
Prior to the film’s debut, Tove wanted to make sure everybody knew that it was also her director’s (Tim Erem) birthday as well:
“It’s also Tim birthday. Two fucking crazy people. I can’t believe you came into my life like a mad person and just created everything that I dreamt of. You’re amazing and thank you.”
Tove Lo then briefly explained what the film meant to her:
“I want to thank everybody that was a part of this film […]. I could not have done it without you. This album and this film is my whole life and every fucking emotion I’ve felt for the past two years, and it’s a very dark, sexual, emotional place and just want you to open up, take it in and feel it.”
