“…Kicking off the music for the evening was the L.A based artist/producer neek (née Nicole Marie). Neek is a friend of Saro’s and was actually playing in his backing band. I don’t know too much about Neek but I do know that I enjoyed her (mostly) synth-heavy, indie-pop. Similar to Saro, neek’s music has a very laid back, atmospheric vibe.

It was a short set, giving the audience just a taste of her music- presumably off of her own 2018 EP Stuck In A Loop- but it would prove to be something quite significant for her as this was apparently the first time she ever performed her own music in front of an audience. If she hadn’t had mentioned it, I would have never guessed.

With her song “something new something blue” garnering over 100K streams on Spotify, I have a feeling that she’ll be performing more gigs sooner rather than later….”
