LOS ANGELES, CA- When it comes to international appeal, Major Lazer’s got it in spades. Their electronic reggaeton jams consistently get heavy plays on digital players, this includes the track “Sua Cara”, featuring Annitta & Pabllo Vittar, which was released July 30, 2017 and is part of Major Lazer’s latest EP “Know No Better”..
Though sung in Portuguese, the official Youtube video for this dance hall banger has received over 300,000,000 views, proving that language is no barrier for mass appeal. However, taking advantage of the wave of success the Portugese song garnered, Diplo and company flip the script remixing the song into the second-most widely spoken language in the world: Spanish.
Featuring Colombian reggaeton star Karol G, “En La Cara” retains that dancehall vibe, while giving making the music that much more accessible. Having already amassed 600K views since since it’s release January 12th, 2018, we have a feeling that the song is well on its way to hitting more earholes in the weeks to come.
