RECAP: I’ve never heard of Ledinsky, but his sound was similar to that of another Swedish music artist, The Tallest Mann On Earth; classic rock combined with folk. It was a short set, probably no longer than 15 minutes, and he kept it simple and fluid with his band, voice and guitar. It should be noted that playing guitar for Ledinsky was David Sandström, the drummer for hardcore punk group Refused!

Now, there’s only so much an artist can do in limited time to make an impression … but I think that Ledinsky pulled it off … addressing American politics no less. His viral hit had the entire crowd participating by singing, “Donald Trump makes me wanna smoke crack”. It seemed pretty clear by the voices in the crowd that most of the Swedes at the festival felt the same way. As a personal note, this moment spoke to me on a very deep, and personal level.

The political activism aside, Ledinsky’s humility and kindness came out towards the end when he wrapped up by saying, “thank you so much for listening to me play”. He appreciated our attention as much as a majority of the audience appreciated him vocalizing how he feel about Donald Trump.

It was only 15 minutes, but damn … he sure left an impression.
