Dezzy Hollow Spoke With Us About His Upcoming Project at Smokers Club BC INTERVIEW: DEZZY HOLLOW
LONG BEACH, CA- Kim was able to spend a quick minute with Dezzy Hollow at The Smoker’s Club Fest to learn more about this up an coming rapper:
KQ: How did you think you did on your set today Dezzy?
“I loved my performance, I feel like every time I get on stage it’s more so, me paying attention to my body movements. Instead of focusing on the crowd watching me and getting nervous. I’m more focused on as long as I’m comfortable, the crowd will be comfortable and try to make myself feel at home.”
KQ: That’s dope, so how long have you been doing music for?
“I’ve been doing music since I was a kid influenced by West Coast gangsta rap. I’ve been writing since middle school and kept at it. Now I just got to perform at the main stage of The Smokers Club and it’s beautiful. If you work hard, good things will come.”
KQ: You say you’re influenced by the West Coast gangsta rap, where are you from?
“I’m from Oceanside maybe an hour away from Los Angeles and an hour away from San Diego. So I get the best of both worlds. We’re our own factor and I feel like I’ll be able to voice the city. It’s a great feeling to be in the position that I am, knowing that if I keep working hard only good things will come.”
KQ: How dope, and what projects do you have coming up?
“Right now I have the Stay Current project out but I’m working on a new one. It’s titled Oceanside, after my city and it’s basically stories within my city, you know, childhood memories. It’s very personal.”
