Blowing the cap off the celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Identity LA brought out one of the hottest K-pop artists to headline the show, DΞΔN.

He’s been in the spotlight for a hot second now, all fully deserved and going very, very strong. K-pop listeners are obsessed with him, and it shows in the crazy amount of fans who actually camped out for his performance at the free concert.

DΞΔN has produced a number of insanely successful song and collaborations with well known Korean artists such as EXO, Zico, Crush, Dok2, TaeYeon and Heize among others. He’s also worked with American artists such as Anderson. Paak, Eric Bellinger, and Jeff Bernat who DΞΔN actually brought on stage for their song “What 2 Do”. Clearly, DΞΔN has been making moves in the industry. Dropping banger tracks left and right, he keeps his fans on their toes, wanting more, and constantly satisfied.

Now, back to show … it was insane. DΞΔN started it off with a quick sound check and fans were already screaming with just few simple acapella runs. Even though the lighting wasn’t great, it didn’t even matter because DΞΔN’s aura and overall nonchalant demeanor made it seem like everything was the way it should be. The set consisted of all of DΞΔN’s most well known songs and more. “Put my hands on you”, “What 2 Do” feat. Jeff Bernat, “Bonnie & Clyde”, “Half Moon”, and even rapping Zico’s bars in “Pour Up”. Just when we thought the show was over, DΞΔN came out for an incredible encore of all his turn up songs saying “I’m not done yet, turn up to this song” as he jumped into “21” and “I’m Not Sorry”.

Since DΞΔN appears to have a shy and quiet personality, we never expected that he would be the type to get face to face with the crowd. But to our delightful surprise, that’s exactly what he did…. and it was insane. Fans went crazy as he nonchalantly walked off stage and begun spewing water into the mob of screaming fans.  Security and even press were on high alert as the front rails were literally on the verge of toppling over from the pushing fans.

As the night of melodious runs, angelic falsetto, and outrageous energy came to a close, DΞΔN ended the show by thanking his squealing fans with a bow and a “see ya~”, just as rain began to fall. A truly perfect end to a beautiful celebration.
