Andrew Weaver’s Journey To Become An “American Idol” Has Just Begun Check Out Official Video of Him Performing "Utopia" On Njomza's Vacation Tour
LOS ANGELES, CA- In 2018, the world got a small glimpse of a 16 year old Andrew Weaver with his “ticket to Hollywood” performance on American Idol. Luke Bryan remarked from the outset that Andrew looked like a star and joked that he had hair envy because of Andrew’s perfect coif, and after his performance of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud”, further observed that Andrew was a “16 year old, guitar playing James Dean.”
While his “American Idol” journey may have been cut short, this Georgia born talent recently had the opportunity to open for Motown Records recording artist Njomza on a recent regional leg her tour, and he earned plenty of new Los Angeles fans with his acoustic guitar driven performance back on February 21st. With only a handful of songs to his name, his performance was relatively short, but it still showed the promise that this young man possesses.
This kid is only 17 years old, so he has plenty of time to hone his craft, but the future’s looking bright. Check him out and let us know what you think!
