Dreamville pioneer J.Cole steps down from the stage to direct his second HBO documentary entitled, ‘4 Your Eyez Only.’ Named after his fourth studio album, the film follows the Dreamville crew as they journey through Baton Rouge, Atlanta, Ferguson, Jonesboro, Arkansas, and his hometown of Fayetteville, NC showcasing the day-to-day struggles of African Americans in the United States.

The documentary features videos for album singles, “Immortal,” “Change,” and “Neighbors” which appears to be a true story backed by 4 Your Eyez Only executive producer Elite. Tipped off by suspicious neighbors, a SWAT team raided the rapper’s studio The Sheltuh. “There was a huge investigation, like a million-dollar investigation,” said Elite. “They flew helicopters over, sent an entire SWAT team armed with weapons, broke down the door and searched the whole house.”

A prominent scene witnessed in the documentary involves community leaders discussing the necessary steps needed to implement change within law enforcement, the government and their own neighborhoods.

Originally making it’s debut on the HBO network on back in April, ‘4 Your Eyez Only’ only is now available to stream on YouTube.
