Last year, Vetements debuted their take of the sock sneaker trend, dubbed the Vetements x Reebok Sock Runner. More sock than sneaker, its distinct retro-gym-sock-stripe design and multi-part sole made for a particularly outlandish pair of kicks. Despite the unconventional design, or maybe because of it, the sneaker quickly became the apple of every hypebeast’s eye. If there was any debate whether or not we’d see the design in upcoming seasons, the buzzy French label teased—count ’em—nine new versions included in their forthcoming Fall-Winter 2019 collection. And in true Vetements fashion, the newly revamped flight of footwear is somehow even bolder than the previous releases.
