Tropical Fuck Storm is one of the most original bands out there right now, with a sound like no other, They’re chaotic and somehow manifest energy everywhere around them. Each song launched a frenzied, punk/ psychedelic thundering experience with unbeatable hooks and deft complexity. The Australian band had full command of the large stage just like the first time I saw them in a very confined and packed venue.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard – night two. The band took the stage in front of a sold-out crowd on night 3 of LEVITATION for their second and final show of the festival. The Aussie sextet interpreted songs that would flow one into the other making it hard to recognize where one ended and the next began. The electrifying and choreographed jams were met with crowd-surfing and mosh pits throughout the entire set.

Sextile is a predominantly synth-based L.A. four-piece whose set featured abundant strobe lighting. It was certainly a big party of frenzied drumming and super fun riffs. This was my first time seeing the band live after their hiatus, so I was very much looking forward to it, and Sextile did not disappoint. Their approach is noisy with lots of tension and not much of a release that somehow ends up working beautifully. There’s no shortage of camaraderie and chemistry within this band.

She Past Away. The Turkish darkwave and revitalized post-punk duo conjured a timeless sound and fashioned a haunting and obscure ambiance where nationality and language were not a barrier in the slightest.
