LOS ANGELES, CA- I’d heard the buzz about Long Beach’s own The Anti Groupies—an all-female rock band with attitude—and finally got my chance to see them at The Venice West back in April. Live, these young women ooze sass, swagger, and serious rock chops—the kind that carry effortlessly into their latest music video for “I Can’t,” which premiered June 22 . The video’s gritty energy captures the confrontational lyrics perfectly:
“I can’t get away, give me some space…
Try and win me back, this is your game…
Can’t you see that I’m great without you, baby?”
It’s a refusal to be manipulated—unfiltered and unapologetic.
Formed in early 2021, the band consists of Cassidy Fleeman (vocals/guitar), Isabella Broersma (guitar), Sydney Moore (bass), and Kyla Foster (drums) . They’ve self-released powerful singles like “Blessing In Disguise” (Oct 2022), “Social Battery,” and “Voicemail” (summer 2023), played over 100 shows across Southern California, and built a reputation for electrifying, all-female empowerment anthems .

It feels, and sounds, like The Anti Groupies are the real deal—proving rock’s still a pulse-pounding, defiant space for women to thrive. With their new video “I Can’t”, they deliver a knockout that’s both cathartic and empowering.
