LOS ANGELES, CA- When Lauren Ruth Ward entertained a sold out Troubadour back in March, one of the opening acts that evening was Dean Passarella and Kameron Grae. Together, the performed an entertaining set of songs from both of their repertoires. Supporting them in the backing band were Nick Ineck (drums), Matias Mora (bass) and Hunter VanHouten (rhythm guitar).
When I caught up with Dean on Instagram, he stated:
“It was so exhilarating to finally hear some of my songs with a full band for the first time. They took a shape of their own and it felt like they were finally being set free.”
The fact that this was the first time that this ensemble had performed together in front a crowd was pretty surprising. Based on how easily they were able to entertain the crowd, and the relentless energy that each player exuded, you would have never guessed it. Dean went on to say:
“Kameron and I worked really well together and found a common thread in our music and message. It was an honor to share the stage with him and support each other in our expression.”
It’s an expression that we hope they keep honing because based on the crowd’s reaction they are sure to be a guaranteed good time every time they take a stage.
