Even as a seasoned concert-goer with a handful of “Old Crow” performances under my belt, the magnetic pull of the main stage was irresistible when these Americana virtuosos took their place.
While many know Old Crow Medicine Show for their ubiquitous hit “Wagon Wheel,” it’s their live performances that truly encapsulate their artistry. This year, celebrating the 20th anniversary of “Wagon Wheel,” the song has proven it will forever stand the test of time, remaining a crowd favorite even after two decades. Their set at Luck Reunion was no exception, a rollicking journey through a musical landscape that traversed the old and new with seamless flair. The energy was palpable as they launched into a series of foot-stomping numbers, each infused with their signature country twang and boundless enthusiasm.
