LOS ANGELES, CA- I’ve had my eyes — and my lens — locked on LØREN since SXSW 2023, where he ripped through a set at Cheer Up Charlies with the kind of swagger you can’t manufacture. A few snaps I took of him that day are still pinned to my Instagram — not just because I’m proud of the shots (I am), but because they’ve become the most viral photos I’ve ever taken. 2,200 likes and counting, countless shares. Clearly, I’m not the only one who knew LØREN was destined for something bigger.

Now, with the release of his new single “FYN,” he’s finally shedding the last layers of self-doubt and stepping fully into the spotlight as the artist he was always meant to be. Clocking in at just over three minutes, “FYN” is the kind of track that makes you want to throw on a leather jacket and strut down a city street like it’s your own personal catwalk.

Produced by Brian Lee — best known for pop mega-hits with the likes of Post Malone and Selena Gomez — the track leans into punk with pop precision. It’s got that scuzzy, urgent Strokes-style riffing and a swagger reminiscent of Jet at their “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” peak, but LØREN’s delivery is all his own. He’s not trying to emulate anyone — he’s exorcising something. It feels raw, it’s personal, and it thumps with an unapologetic freedom.

“For me, the song’s message talks about the will to refuse what self-righteous people ask of you — whether it be change, to behave, or simply turn your music down,” LØREN shared in a statement. That spirit — of resisting being polished for palatability — is baked into every note.

This track also marks a turning point for LØREN, who’s now joined forces with indie label AYLA, founded by Darahgianna Park and recently profiled in Forbes. It’s a bold move for someone who cut his teeth writing and producing for K-pop royalty like BLACKPINK and G-Dragon, even making a cameo in the viral “Lovesick Girls” video. But LØREN isn’t chasing mainstream approval anymore — he’s creating for himself, and it shows.

There’s a freedom in “FYN” that feels earned. After years of navigating the complexities of music stardom, co-signs, and fashion-world intrigue, LØREN’s not just breaking out — he’s blowing the doors off. And if this is where the next chapter begins? I hope that I’ll be in the front row, camera in hand, ready to capture it all. Again.
