Kicking off Day 2 on the main stage at L.A. Pride was singer Jesse Montana. I didn’t know too much about this artist insofar as there was very little I could find on the good ole internet about him or his back story. I did find him on Instagram and Twitter, however, and figured that his 105K and 39.8K followers respectively reflect the fact that he’s a pretty popular dude.
His performance was visually and technically on point. Even as an opening act, he had a bevy or dancers execute intricate choreography around him as he sang his electronic-pop melodies to the masses. Towards the end of his set, he invited singer Lauren Chavez to join him on stage to perform their latest single “Kings and Queen”.
Though his performance was a bit too short for me to really take in and gauge his music, it was a solid showing and I’d be interested to hear more from him in the future.
