DANA POINT, CA- The Los Angeles band Haim, made up of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, is currently touring with their sophomore album, “Something To Tell You,” that dropped in July of this year. The trio started the show strong belting out their newest single from that album, “Want You Back.”
Throughout each song the sisters encouraged the crowd to dance and sing as they played new song, after new song including “Right Now,” “Forever,” and “Little of Your Love.” It wasn’t all new songs the artists also delivered some classics from their debut album, Days Are Gone including, “Falling,” “The Wire,” and “Don’t Save Me.” In the middle of one song, Este called it to a halt in order to get as many people in the crowd on one another’s shoulders. And at another they pleaded with the audience, “The weekend ain’t over yet. We’re together and we’re a family.” An idea not lost during this incredible weekend of music and Ohana.
A fun moment in the show came when Haim described hearing a certain song on the radio, knowing they had to play it on this tour. They teased the audience saying, “Hopefully you know it,” as the cords to the ever popular, “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” by Shania Twain coursed through the speakers. The sisters ended the dancey set with a bang as the threesome moved towards the drum kits in the center of the stage to pound out intense rhythms, one-upping each other to end the night.
