LOS ANGELES, CA – Ever since we saw Flavia perform at L.A. Pride, we’ve been jonesing for more content from this uber-talented singer/songwriter. Our wish has been granted, as today she dropped her latest single, “Expectations”.
Even with its lyrics, “Expectations, getting the best of me,” it’s a pulsing song about self-realization that grooves with a confidence that behooves its subject matter. Of the song, Flavia has said:
“I wrote “Expectations” at the beginning of the discovery of my bisexuality. It represents the shedding of the labels and boxes that society pushes us into. I don’t fit in a box, nor would I […] want to, and I hope this song empowers others to feel the same.”
