A few weeks ago, we caught wind of a new recording artist whose sweet voice immediately captured our attention: JADE. Her 9 track EP “Pink” is pop gold, and has been getting plenty of Spotify spins on our collective computers.
Though JADE only has three videos uploaded to her official Youtube channel, we were forwarded a little gift in the form of an unlisted video link that has a lyric video that JADE made for the last track on her EP, “Won’t The Rain Come Soon”.
“Won’t the Rain Come Soon” is a breezy tune that’s only 2 minutes and 30 seconds in length, but its beautifully, minimal musical arrangement- using only an acoustic guitar and JADE’s harmonized vocals- makes that 2 minutes and 30 seconds pass in a blissful fashion. It’s a bit of a departure from the electronic pop of her popular “Wait For Me”, but it truly allows a listener to hear the soft nuances of her voice.
The lyric video, which is as breezy as the song, simply has JADE walking on a sunny beach. As she playfully sings about life’s conundrums, you can’t help but “hear her coming”. Hopefully, JADE keeps it coming, cause we can’t get enough.
