LOS ANGELES, CA- Elle Winter’s star has been steadily rising this year as she has been consistently releasing new music in advance of her debut EP which is supposed to drop early next year via RED MUSIC. If you have a good ear, you may remember this 20-year-old singer as a competitor in season five of Disney Channel’s Next Big Thing. Some of you, if you have a good eye, may recognize her from her acting in various films. Whether you’ve heard of her or not, there’s one thing you can be sure: Elle Winter has the tools and resources to become a bonafide pop star.
Her latest single, “Thought Of Me” is a pop gem. Co-written by Elle and the songwriting/production duo The Jam (Mike Mani and Jordan Omley, who have worked with everyone from Lady Gaga to Michael Bolton), “Thought Of Me” has this former Disney hopeful digging deep into the idea of social media distorting reality. Heady stuff, artfully packaged into a perfect pop ditty.
Of the song, Elle has said:
“It speaks to the contradiction of how we present ourselves to the outside world versus who we really are as a person. I know that as an artist and being active on social media I do not always present the ‘true me’ online. Sometimes I find it easier to let people ‘hold on’ to this idea of me instead of opening up and letting someone get to know me.”
We have a feeling that the world will be getting to know the real Elle Winter sooner rather than later. Let us know what you think of the new song in the comments!
