Dana Point, CA- Kelsey Byrne is the Brooklyn based recording artist known as VÉRITÉ. Her first single, “Strange Enough” was self-released in 2014 to critical acclaim, which was followed up with the release of her EP title d”Echo”. The following year, she released the EP “Sentiment””, which further highlighted her ability to write catchy uptempo melodies that utilized her dynamic vocals to perfection.

On June 23, 2017,VÉRITÉ released her debut full length album “Somewhere In Between”. It’s a solid album, but truth be told, it was hard for me to put my finger on what kind of artist she was and imagine what she would be like when she performed live. I was impressed.

Playing and programming the keys herself, and backed only by a drummer, I initially assumed that the performance would lack a bit of that “live” spirit that I enjoy so much. But as soon as the backing tracks were set, and Ms. Byrne stepped away from her instrument, she dug in deep with every lyric, using her body and the stage to give the afternoon crowd an emotionally charged performance. When she took her large sunglasses off after the first couple of songs, and we could see the expressive lines on her face as she sang, we could literally give her hauntingly honest music countenance.
