WHO: Tkay Maidza.

WHAT: Alternative hip-hop with an electronic foundation.

WHEN: 3/18/2017 at Barracuda presented by Do 512’s The Big One.

WHERE: Adelaide, Australia.

WHY: Several years ago, I attended a music festival in Silverlake, CA  that featured a stage showcasing Australian talent at the Echo. One of those talents was a petit, young gal who blew the roof off of the venue. Her name: Tkay Maidza. It was time to see her again. barracuda

HOW: Tkay’s performance at Barracuda was everything that I remembered from seeing her years ago. Hyped, fierce and overflowing with positive energy, she was able to emit those powerfully good vibes to those in attendance. Her vibe was so infectious that after her performance, at least a dozen or so new fans hung out just to snap a photo with her. I’m not the only one who thinks there something special about this pint-sized powerhouse. Given the right beats and the right outlets, I think she’s ready for her truly, global break-out moment.
