RECAP: Of the two stages at Stockholm, CA, the “smaller” stage played host to a variety of DJ acts. One of those acts was Emir Kobilić, also known as Salvatore Ganacci. This Swedish music producer/DJ is a fixture in Sweden, co-founding the comedy-show “THOR-Radio” which is broadcast on Swedish public radio.
As a relatively “new” act in the DJ circuit, Salvatore has rubbed elbows with some pretty heavy hitters including Ingrosso, Garmiani and Enya. His biggest hit was his 2014 collaboration with Jillionaire of Major Lazer, “FRESH”, which became a global club hit.
Clearly, he has picked up a few performance tips from his collaborators as his high energy set at Stockholm, CA clearly got the crowd pumped for rest of the music offerings the festival had in store. Dancing atop of, and jumping from his DJ console, and crouching low to feel the bass from the subwoofer at his feet, it was clear that Salvatore was enjoying himself to the max, which easily convinced the audience to follow his lead.
