LOS ANGELES, CA- As soundcheck came to a close DJ Zo stepped on stage to start his set. Once the music started people who have been waiting outside for hours begun flooding in. Those not paying attention to the stampede running their way were startled when they noticed the mass of diverse people bolting toward the stage to catch a good spot for the show.

Overcast and chance of rain didn’t hinder the excitement from the now huddled stampede. DJ Zo spun hits from Drake, Chance the Rapper, and Cardi B to get the crowd jumping. We were even delighted to hear music from not only the 80s, 90s, but even popular Latin hits.

Although Identity LA was created in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, the music and attendees were of a diverse background, all here to support the cause. Before we knew it DJ Zo’s set was over and hosts Far East Movement and Wong Fu Productions came on stage to make announcements and greet Identity LA’s diverse group of attendees.
