The Weeknd only announced the title of his new album earlier today, and now the first single is here. The album artwork and title, Starboy, was announced via Twitter, and the single confirms the rumors that The Weeknd was working with Daft Punk.
In recent years, legendary French electronic duo Daft Punk have proved that they can work their sound into contemporary pop music alongside vocalists as diverse as Pharrell and Julian Casablancas, and they don’t miss a step working with The Weeknd. Signature elements of both artist’s sounds are evident, giving the impression that this was a true collaboration.
