DANA POINT, CA- Now in its 4th year, Eddie Vedder’s Ohana Fest will be returning to Doheny State Beach September 27, 28 and 29 and boasts an amazing lineup that includes The Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Tash Sultana, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Tash Sultana, Jenny Lewis and Mudhoney as well as Ohana alumni Mudhoney, Glen Hansard and, of course, Eddie Vedder.
We’re big fans of this festival, its ethos and the way it’s run. I think Mr. Vedder best summed up the essence of why love the Ohana Fest in its inaugural year:
“Being able to hear music (maybe even live music) while you’re on a wave…we did that today…To invent something, that the people who had the very last row have the best seat in the house, ’cause they can see the ocean and see the music…I hope you like it as much as we hoped and thought you would.”
As it has done since its inception, a portion of the proceeds from OHANA will benefit the San Onofre Parks Foundation, a California non-profit that cooperatively works with the California State Parks to develop, preserve and enhance the recreation and experience of California’s unique and beautiful coastal parks.
