LOS ANGELES, CA- Blurred Culture is a big fan of SWIMM. While we dig their 2018 full length release Sentimental Porno, we first got down with the band and their music when they released their 2015 sophomore EP Beverly Hells.
Receiving rave reviews from various publications, including being one of Buzzband LA’s “EPs of the year”, Beverly Hells is an indie rock album that masterfully melds psychedelic rock with infectious pop and whose undeniable melodies are hard to resist. They say you never forget your first, and with a handful of additional unreleased tracks, it’s time to fall in love with Beverly Hells all over again.
The first “bonus” track that’s been released is “Mind’s Eye”, a dreamy concoction of that psychedelic-pop, fairy dust that you just want to keep stuffing in your earholes. If you don’t find yourself instantly “doo-dooing” during the bridge … well … you just don’t know how to have fun.
The Beverly Hells rerelease is scheduled for November 2nd. Angelenos will have the chance to rock out to the new tunes when SWIMM parties with Dr. Marten’s on November 29th (with Mating Ritual) at the Bootleg Theater. It’s free, but it’s subject to capacity, so RSVP here and get there early cause it’s first come, first served!
