For the past 20 years, Atmosphere have been rocking stages with their underground and indie-rap following. On August 12th on Rhymesayers, this Minneapolis duo of Ant and Slug will be releasing their ninth studio album: Fishing Blues. The album boasts 18 tracks featuring music produced by the group and featured guest performances by DOOM, Aesop Rock, Kool Keith, The Grouch and more.
Leading up to the album’s release, hip hop journalist, radio host and tv personality Sway Calloway flew out to Minneapolis to spend a day on Lake Minnetonka fishing with the group to learn more about the album and what we can expect from Atmosphere in the months to come. The first episode of the multi-part series is above.
