Prophets of Rage is an American rap rock supergroup that at it’s essence group rooted in political discourse. Formed in 2016, the group consists of three members of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave (bassist and backing vocalist Tim Commerford, guitarist Tom Morello, and drummer Brad Wilk), two members of Public Enemy (DJ Lordand rapper Chuck D), and rapper B-Real of Cypress Hill.
In their latest video “Hail To The Chief”, the band seems to be looking forward, taking aim on Vice President Mike Pence, suggesting that he’s the one “Who got next game”. The possible leader of the free world “[w]ho came in the name of a thief to cease peace.”
The video is filled with surreal and poignant imagery imagery, backed with a blistering track that uses Tom, Chuck D and B-Real to their fullest potential. Check out the video below.
