Netflix is back with another glimpse of what to expect from Stranger Things season three. In a new clip, viewers are introduced to Hawkins, Indiana’s newly-opened “Starcourt Mall.” The mall is described as opening in 1985, which would mean that the new season begins a year after season two.
The importance of the mall is yet to be revealed, although it is set to be an important part of the action considering its role in the trailer. The clip also shows that Steve (played by Joe Keery) and Robin (Maya Hawke) work at the mall’s Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream shop. When Hawke was confirmed as a cast member, her character was described as stumbling across dark secrets in Hawkins. Watch the teaser above, with a release date of “summer next year” being hinted.
Netflix also released a small trailer back in April showing the crew reuniting to start production on the new season hopefully coming out soon to a Netflix account near you.
