After a few teasers and unveiling the titles for the forthcoming episodes, Netflix has just shared the official release date for the third season of Stranger Things. Announced at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Day, the new season will return on July 4, 2019 and will be comprised of eight new chapters. Along with announcing the show’s return date, the streaming giant also shared a new poster and teaser video filled with cryptic clues. Included in the footage is Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve from 1985 and shots of a computer interface with clues such as “When Blue and Yellow Meet in the West” and a hidden figure tapping out commands to launch the program “SilverCatFeeds.exe.” Take a look at the new teaser trailer above and head over to reddit to decode.

Set in 1985, the upcoming season will continue after the events of season 2. Look for all your favorite characters to return including Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Dacre Montgomery as Billy, and Sadie Sink as Max. Winona Ryder and David Harbour also return as Joyce Byers and Chief Jim Hopper, respectively.
