LOS ANGELES, CA- In the ever-shifting world of pop collaborations, few match the magnitude—or precision—of Maroon 5’s new single, “PRICELESS,” featuring global K-pop superstar LISA. Released via 222/Interscope Records on May 2, this unexpected but completely savvy pairing marks the first time Maroon 5 has teamed up with a K-pop artist, and the result is exactly what you’d expect from two of the most recognizable names in contemporary pop: a sleek, confident anthem tailor-made for mass replay.

Directed by Aerin Moreno (Tate McRae, Tyla), the music video for “PRICELESS” pairs stylish vignettes with 35mm film textures, giving a modern pop song a retro visual flair. Set in downtown Los Angeles, it channels Mr. & Mrs. Smith-style tension—playful, glamorous, and a little dangerous. The visuals are clean, cinematic, and, frankly, stunning—easily one of the slickest music videos released so far this year.

Musically, “PRICELESS” delivers a return-to-form energy for Maroon 5. “It’s just a guitar-based song which we haven’t really done in so long,” frontman Adam Levine said of the track. “I actually got a little emotional recording it ’cause it was sort of reconnecting to our roots.” That emotional core is evident in the song’s crisp instrumentation, driven by a raw guitar riff that—per Levine—was originally recorded as a voice memo on an unplugged guitar. It’s a sound that echoes the early Maroon 5 era, yet still feels fresh thanks to the song’s tight production and LISA’s commanding presence.

LISA, the globally renowned rapper, singer, and dancer best known for her work with BLACKPINK, lends an international edge to the single. Her verse is both sultry and poised, adding balance to Levine’s heartfelt delivery. With her signature cool and sharp vocals, she injects the track with global pop polish without diluting its rawness. This marks yet another milestone in her increasingly impressive solo career, which has already seen her break several Guinness World Records and collaborate with the likes of Rosalía and Ryan Tedder.

“PRICELESS” also arrives as a prelude to Maroon 5’s upcoming eighth studio album, which the band promises will lean into their foundational sound while exploring new textures. Guitarist James Valentine echoed Levine’s sentiments, saying the song “represents Maroon 5’s earlier days,” and likened the chords and vibe to what initially drew him to the band in 2000. This blend of old and new has the potential to both reignite long-time fans and pull in a whole new wave of listeners.

The song’s release comes as Maroon 5 wraps their 40-date Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live and teases a forthcoming world tour. With over 100 million albums sold, 30 billion Spotify streams, and chart-topping singles in more than 35 countries, Maroon 5 remains one of the few bands from the early 2000s still dominating the global charts.

LISA, meanwhile, continues to rise. With her debut solo album ALTER EGO already climbing the Billboard 200 and her recent Coachella solo appearance making headlines, her collaboration with Maroon 5 only solidifies her cross-genre, cross-continental appeal. From gracing ELLE’s September issue to becoming a Louis Vuitton House Ambassador and starring in HBO’s The White Lotus, LISA’s cultural influence has never been more expansive.

In a pop landscape increasingly defined by strategic collaborations, “PRICELESS” isn’t just a clever move—it’s a potent reminder of what happens when two icons from opposite sides of the world meet at the intersection of sound, style, and star power.
